what i do as an integrative therapist and health coach

I am a trained integrative therapist and a health coach. They work so well together because they look at the person as a whole. Some people may start their pathway to health and happiness through talking about their feelings and relationships, while others want to talk about food and exercise. In my experience, clients eventually touch upon every aspect of their life because our mind, body and heart truly work together.

As an integrative therapist, I combine both the Person Centred and Psychodynamic approach. Person Centred means you are at the heart of the therapy: you decide what to talk about and ultimately make the right decisions for you. Psychodynamic means we remain curious about the past to help you understand the present. I aim to take your stream of consciousness and your emotions and present them back to you in an organised way.

As a Health Coach, we are future focused. We unpick what the future looks like for you, break that journey down into little steps, practicing more of what is good for you. Together we will devise a realistic approach and take actionable steps towards your goals.

Weaving these two approaches together, we will look into holistic ways of taking care of yourself. We will talk about exercise, sleep, stress, your work, your family and self care, gratitude and mindfulness. We will build your self-awareness in an environment which fosters curiosity with no judgement.

What to expect in the sessions

Our sessions will take place either on line or in person. Each session is 50 minutes long.

Before formally starting, you will have a free 20 minute “get to know you” session: we can discuss what brought you to therapy, your goals and whether you would like to work together.

If and when you decide you’d like to commence therapy and health coaching, we will agree on a time, date and place that suits us. I will then send via email a contract and a brief questionniare for you to complete prior to our first session.

We will meet weekly and, with time, I hope you find that your complexity is what makes you wonderful.
